Quality

Quality is a corporate commitment,
i.e. the right things have to be done right in all areas. We must
embrace the principles of continuous improvement of processes and
products as well as a zero-defect mentality. In some of product ranges,
a complaint rate of less than 10 ppm have been achieved and the company
aims to achieve the same for all product groups. This requires a
disciplined approach to optimize the current manufacturing processes by
a systematic project management already in the development stage with
regard to efficiency and stability. The other factor that leads to
outstanding quality is the customer oriented approach. By intensively
supporting the customers, Mubea employees do not only meet the
customers' wishes, but also meet their future requirements too. At
Mubea, DIN EN ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 as well as ISO 14001 are
standard certifications which are audited annually by accredited
certification bodies.
- ISO 9001:2000
- TS 16949:2000
- ISO 140001:2000

Environment
Mubea products are already very
environment-friendly due to their good recycling ability. Our aim to
increase the realization of lightweight potentials supports the idea of
environmental protection.
Nevertheless we have set a further corporate commitment to reduce
energy consumption by 10% until 2010 in selected Mubea plants, in order
to contribute to the protection of the natural resources.
Advanced Production
Mubea sets high internal standards to
ensure a high level of quality and economic efficiency by means of
innovative and extremely rigorous production methods, starting with the
production of the raw material.
A majority of the strip material used is produced to very tight
tolerances. Depending on the disc thickness, the disc blanks are
manufactured by punching (Group 1), fine blanking (Group 2) or plasma
arc/flame cutting (Group 3). Disc springs of greater material thickness
are machined all over to remove surface imperfections. Depending on the
requirement, disc springs can be heat-treated martensitically or
bainitically to extremely tight hardness tolerances. Subsequent
shot-peening will improve the fatigue life of the springs. Our standard
corrosion protection, phosphating and oiling, is performed in our own
facility.
Complete monitoring of the various production stages guarantees the
high quality of Mubea disc springs.
